It's time for our annual Christmas campaign round-up, and this year, we're putting the biggest ads to the selection box test... Here's our top picks:
The Classic - Happy Holidays from TUI
Chosen by: the entire OCOCO office
The ad we can all agree on! And it seems we're not alone, as it's the third year Happy Holidays has been aired by TUI. Taking an irreverent look at exactly how elves enjoy their non-Christmas time off, we see Santa's workshop team jetting off on the ultimate TUI beach holiday. Featuring humour and highly relatable moments it's delicious and dependable. The Dairy Milk of the lot.
The Fun One - #GiftHappilyEverAfter from Boots
Chosen by: Natalie
This is very much the Curly Wurly equivalent - a little bit silly, but ultimately, a great recipe. This year Boots brought the fairytale magic with a modern-day Puss in Boots story. An invitation to the Snow Queen's Ball means our furry protagonist needs gifts, and with some help from a mirror mirror on the wall, he hits the highstreet to the purrfect presents! There's something new to spot with every watch, and this ad is packed with magic.
The Messy One - That’s What Makes It Christmas from Tesco
Chosen by: Laura
Tesco’s Christmas campaign leans into the messy, relatable moments that make the festive season feel real. That’s What Makes It Christmas celebrates familiar British rituals, from dinner table arguments to writing cards for people you hardly know. It’s a reminder that Christmas isn’t about perfection but about embracing the chaos - much like choosing a Flake from the selection box, the messiest but most satisfying treat of all.
The Weird-but-it-Works One - Hello From Lego
Chosen by: Jake
Rebuilding the world with a playful call to arms, Lego is waging war against screentime this Christmas. A literal army of minifigs perform their brick-based version of Hello and spark a wholesome family moment. Drawing heavily from the brand's movie franchise success, it's all a little odd, but it commits to the theme and makes it work. It's basically a Crunchie, all wrong and totally right at the same time.
The Animated One - Conte de Noël from Intermarché
Chosen by: Luna
You don't need to speak French to enjoy this heartwarming tale of a lonely wolf looking in search of connection. The perfect choice for an office dog who chooses to barely understand her commands in any language anyway. Beautifully animated, classic storytelling, and iconic characters. It's the Freddo of the bunch, and reminiscent of Edgar the Dragon. Definitely the right kind of sweet this season.
And The One That's Left In The Box - Holidays Are Coming from Coca-Cola
Chosen by: everyone, everywhere
Not quite the real thing... a massive AI misstep. We're hoping for a return to former Christmas campaign glory for Coca-Cola next year!
